Today, as companies across every industry are constantly facing the pressure of doing more with less, efficiency has become the name of the game. It is especially true for the warehousing industry which plays a significant role in the global supply chain. Several companies and manufacturers are therefore looking for ideal partners that can holistically augment and ensure the ‘longevity’ of their warehousing stance, to address issues around safety compliance, building and high pile storage permits, implementation of ideal storage equipment and environments, racking systems robustness, and shelving capacity of goods, especially the bulky and/or fragile ones, to name a few.

This is where Quality Material Handling (QMH) steps in.

Founded in 1991, QMH is a family owned business providing end to end warehousing storage solutions. The company provides all warehouse solutions under one roof, from basic shelving components, submitting permit applications to turn key storage solutions with project management. It aims to exceed client expectations by converting warehouses into more effective, efficient, flexible, and dynamic environments. “For 30 years we’ve been in business under the same name and same reputation. We pride ourselves of being a family-owned business as it ignites in us a certain level of passion driving towards success,” prides Julia Pinto, COO, QMH.

A legacy spanning three decades (and counting) create a unique brand value for QMH and empower it to provide excellence and stay faithful to its promises in warehouse design management. “When it comes to talking about competitive edge, there are three things that make us stand out: we are relentless, responsive, and fast,” adds Julia.

QMH prides itself on being a relentless problem solver as it resolves every issue its clients bring. Being a licensed general contractor, the company remains readily available to handle any industry problems and safety or compliance requirements.

Internal resources, engineering knowledge, in house permit processing, installation team, and other competencies allow QMH to avoid delays in providing exemplary end to end warehouse solutions.

In terms of engaging with clients, QMH starts its process with consultations either over phone or site visits, followed by an inspection of the site from a safety perspective and gathering an understanding of the client requirements. After inspection, the team conveys the possible future challenges to the client and designs a storage system based on the capacity, cost, timeline, and storage requirements. Finally, after negotiation and contracting, the project management, permitting, and installation teams execute the approved design. “From the very beginning of the process, we always try to be truthful to our clients and let them know what is realistic and what could really happen,” mentions Julia. “Also, we work with a variety of different manufactures in order to meet our clients’’ requirements.”

To further illustrate QMH’s unparalleled expertise, Julia shares a couple of customer success stories. In one instance, a customer was facing difficulties to stack around 6000 pallets in their existing facility comprising three warehouses, and they needed an additional building to stack more. “With our assistance, the customer was able to consolidate their warehouses into one, and fit double the number of pallets they were actually storing in their facility,” prides Julia. In another instance, a Japanese soy sauce manufacturing company faced major warehouse safety related issues, where their insurance provider gave them an ultimatum to fix the problems. Addressing the need, QMH installed an in-rack sprinkler system and additional fire barrier protection, making the warehouse’s environment more compliant and safer and helping the client successfully get their insurance policy.

Riding high on the success of its impeccable solutions, QMH is stepping into the New Year with an objective to extend its reach beyond Southern California. The company is also eyeing to upgrade its dock equipment production capacity by 500% and expand its current 10,000 sq. ft. facility to 50,000 square feet. “We’re constantly working on projects throughout the country, and we aim to be a strong nationwide brand by becoming relentless problem solvers who deliver the solution that our customers are looking for,” concludes Julia.
